Recently, my son, who’s 14 years old and a rabid gamer (as they do like to call themselves), was busy tapping away on his Xbox 360 controller when he had a run-in with good ol’ Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). As a parent, of course, I felt the need to find something to help him fight off the pain. It was then that I discovered this ingenious thing they call Heated Gloves.

Let me take you back.
Actually, heated gloves were not the first thing we tried to fight off the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Of course, we went to the family doctor. He gave us these really expensive creams. After a while though, my son complained that it wasn’t doing much of a difference. I was really scared that we might have to do surgery. Trying to avoid that scenario, I googled stuff on the internet and found out about Heated Gloves.
These heated gloves are actually just like normal gloves, except of course for the fact that they deliver continuous heating through some kind of lightweight heating system within the glove construction. It’s so lightweight though, that it’s really hard to notice where all of the wires and other stuff are.
So, as I was saying, we bought a nice pair of heated gloves for my son. And surprisingly, it worked. My son’s right hand felt better and he was getting back dexterity from his digits. Surgery bullet, averted! The next day, we went back to the doctor and told him what happened. He was stunned and told us that what we were doing was actually a form of heat therapy. The constant heat from the heated gloves helped in circulating blood within my son’s hands which according to doctor, accelerated the healing process. Lucky us!
Now, I’m not an old school type of classic parent but I do understand how video games not only eat kid’s brains but also destroy kid’s bodies rendering them unable to perform in tiptop shape. With all these new gaming consoles coming out every year, it’s no wonder that more and more kids get hooked to video games. But thankfully, there’s also useful technology coming out, like the Heated Gloves, which help out parents like me. I’m actually thinking of getting a pair of heated gloves for myself this winter. You should too.
